Why is Verizon Wireless Internet not working? ›

A good place to start is to simply power the device off and back on again. This can get you up and running in many cases. You'll also need to make sure Wi-Fi is enabled on the device and it's in range of the Wi-Fi network!

How do I know if my phone line is down? ›

Call your phone number from an outside line.

Use your cell phone to call the phone line you want to check. Alternatively, ask a neighbor to call your phone. Listen to see if your phone rings or if you get a busy signal. This can help you see if the phone can receive calls but not make them.

Measure Signal Strength

From a web browser, sign in to My Verizon as the Account Owner or Manager. Click Device overview. below the appropriate device. Allow several seconds for the test to complete.
