Hello, Lover… My KitchenAid 7 Cup Food Processor Review

Admittedly, I’m not that into kitchen gadgets. Storage is always an issue for us, so I make sure that anything I bring into our home is actually usable. Often, this means that I need an appliance to do at least 2 jobs. And bonus points if it does more than that! Enter the KitchenAid 7 Cup Food Processor, my new bestie. Not only does it make my meal prep easier, it also helps me make yummy treats for our chickens (more on that in a bit).

When it comes to kitchen gadgets, storage is always an issue for us, so I make sure that anything I bring into our home is actually usable. Often, this means that I need an appliance to do at least 2 jobs. And bonus points if it does more than that! Enter the KitchenAid 7 Cup Food Processor, my new bestie. Not only is it a breeze to store with a compact design and convenient wrap cord, but it makes meal prep easier for the food I love and helps me make yummy treats for our chickens (more on that in a bit).

To start, let’s talk about what makes this food processor so dang special:

Intuitive, thoughtful design:

Rather than fumbling with the work bowl and trying to twist it on with wet hands, this one snaps on SO easily. Gone are the days of having to align and twist the bowl on just so. Also, the lid snaps on and off, making cleaning so much easier. And did I mention that the work bowl is sealed and leak-resistant??

The design team at KitchenAid really outdid themselves because even the feed tube (aka the thing you push veggies into) features 2 different sized pushers. The smaller one makes it a breeze to drizzle oil in for emulsifying sauces, too.

Two Powerful Attachments

Chop, puree, shred, and slice easily with the multipurpose blade or the medium reversible slicing/shredding disc. These two attachments mean you can use this food processor to do anything you need. It’s a matter of choosing a setting + blade combo. So, for example, to shred carrots, use the shredding side of the disc and the High setting.

Easy to Clean

While using this countertop appliance for the first time, I realized how much the design has made it way easier to clean. Because the work bowl is sealed, less food gets trapped in it! Also, the bowl, lid and accessories are event dishwasher-safe.

I use my 7 Cup Food Processor in a variety of ways. Aside from making sauces like chimichurri, salsa, salad dressing, tzatziki (stay tuned for that recipe btw!), etc, I also use it to whip up treats for the chickens. If you’ve seen my Instagram Stories, you know I am all about treating those girls! Usually what happens is that I buy way too many veggies and have to use them all before they go bad. So I toss them in the food processor and make a lovely veggie puree for them. Come summer, I’m going to add fruit into the mix, too.

I always love treating the chickens to something special… it really brings me joy! I know it’s weird to say, but somehow this food processor helps to boost my mood each time I use it.
